How to publish a project

To publish your project, please do the following:

  1. Open your project from the My Project list.
  2. Click Publish button in the top left-hand corner.

  3. Select your preferred publishing options.
  4. Click the Publish button.
  5. Your browser will prompt you to download a .zip file containing your published project. The files will need to be extracted from this .zip file so that they can be viewed.

The following options are available when you publish your specification.

Include the following

  • Project details - includes your project details as a cover page.
  • NBS-style specification - your specification output will appear in either Uniclass or CAWS classification.
  • Room-based specification - your specification output will be broken down by the spaces that have been included in the project.
  • Products summary - allows you to include a list of all of the products specified in your specification.
  • Data sheets - your specification will include a data sheet for each product that has been specified. These include details such as technical specification and technical drawings.
  • CAD files - the .zip file will contain the CAD drawings of the products that have been included in your specification.
  • NBS Export - allows you to export your specification to a format that can be imported into NBS Building or NBS Create.

Select an output format

Your specification can be published in three different formats. It is possible to publish a combination of the three formats at any one time. The published documents will be provided in a .zip file. The formats that are available are:

  • PDF - Portable Document Format (a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader will be required to open these files)
  • RTF - Rich Text Format
  • CSV - Comma-Separated Values

Select a classification system

Your specification can be published in either Uniclass or CAWS format.
